The first time I drove a Toyota Van was in the winter in a friends LE 4WD. I'd been wondering what might replace my old Subaru. It took about 5 minutes and I was sold. I searched for several months, really wanting a stick. I saw this old white beater 4WD turn out of a driveway and followed it. "OK, maybe we do want to sell" It was an automatic, but had the coolest windows and interior... I paid $500 for it and went to work within a few weeks. Good candidate for a swap- the automatic in the car had been rebuilt no less than 5 times and was leaking ATF again!

I've turned the 'beater' into one of the smoothest vans I've seen. We sail down the freeway and blast into the mountains. I stop anywhere I please and catch some z's. Most of the camps are pretty nice spots. The old Toyota Van may be the best traveling car in existence for a combination of low cost and great ride.

I work on and modify these vans on a custom basis. (See the Gallery for some pictures.)I usually have a few for sale, only 4WD's though. Contact me: roysail@glacierview.net
